These activities require YMCA Camp Willson staff to assist.
Archery
Whether they are picking up a bow for the first time or are modern-day Robin Hoods, groups of all ages enjoy aiming for the bull’s eye at our archery range.
Minimum age: 6
Boating
Your safety is our priority, so all campers must wear Personal Flotation Devices while on the water, regardless of age or swimming ability. Adults must accompany campers under 6 years old.
Our dedicated lifeguards ensure your water activities are exciting and secure. An additional charge of $50 per hour covers lifeguards.
Maximum participants per lifeguard: 25
Climbing Wall
Explore the heights with our brand-new climbing wall! Discover the thrill of scaling vertical challenges, perfect for beginners and seasoned climbers alike. From choosing challenging routes to gear selection and safety tips, we have all you need for an unforgettable adventure.
Maximum participants per staff: 15
Evening Campfires
Gather at one of our campfire areas with camp staff as your emcees for an interactive evening of songs and skits. Campfire amphitheaters feature bench seating, a lighted stage and plenty of firewood. Groups may reserve these areas for group-led programs.
Seating capacity: around 200 for our waterfront amphitheater and fire ring area
Games/Initiatives
Large and small groups enjoy fun, fast-paced games and team-building initiatives. Camp staff will create a program using props and ingenuity to entertain and engage groups of all ages.

Giant Swing / High Ropes / Zipline
An exhilarating addition to your retreat, choose your challenge level on our high-challenge course elements. These activities require closed-toe shoes and two camp staff members to facilitate.
A $15 per person charge is added for High Ropes and the Zipline to cover the cost of higher-level trained staff.
Maximum Participants: 20
Giant Swing session: 1 hour
High Ropes Course session: 2 hours
Minimum age: 11 for High Ropes and Zipline; all ages for Giant Swing
Nature Discovery
Our camp staff can lead your group in activities designed to heighten your awareness of the natural world, such as nature games, guided hikes and curriculum-based outdoor education.
Maximum participants per staff: 12
Outdoor Skills
Learn the basics of fire building, orienteering, shelter building, knot tying or enjoy a guided nature hike with our staff. Groups can reserve areas for group-led outdoor education programs.

Riflery
Under the guidance of our experienced instructors, participants will learn the fundamentals of marksmanship, firearm safety, and responsible shooting practices. Equipped with precision BB guns, targets and safety gear, participants can aim and improve their accuracy. Our designated shooting range provides a controlled, secure setting for this engaging and educational activity.
Minimum age: 6
Tie Dye
Our Arts and Crafts room is available to make your most groovy tie-dyed item. This activity requires guests to provide their own 100% cotton clothing. Groups can reserve the Arts and Crafts room for group-led art programs.
Recreational Activities
Groups and individuals may participate in Recreational Activities at their leisure. They do not require a camp staff member to lead and are free to enjoy. Participant age, group size and time limitations may apply.
Fishing
Bring your poles and enjoy the scenic serenity of our lake.
Gaga Ball
It’s like dodgeball, but the ball stays low, and the game takes place in a pit.
Hiking
Are you in the mood for a short stroll or a long hike? There are more than 10 miles of trails on camp to explore!
Sports Complex
In our sports complex area, groups can play fan favorites such as basketball, tennis, soccer, kickball, softball and flag football.
9-Square
Think classic foursquare but played in the air with nine squares.
