At this time, we are pleased to announce that weeks 5-9 at YMCA Camp Willson for 2020 will be happening with modified dates, registration, and updated cleaning and social distancing procedures. 

  • July 7th-10th Mini Summer camp week 1 (5)
  • July 12-17th Summer camp week 2 (6) 
  • July 19th-24th Summer camp week 3 (7)
  • July 26th-July 31st Summer camp week 4 (8)
  • Aug 2-7th Summer camp week 5 (9) (ranch)

Drop Off & Pick Up

  • “Drive-through” style drop off will take place on Sundays from 3-5:30 (more details attached).
    • Suggested times will be communicated families to limit wait time in car 
    • This will include both a lice check and a health and temperature check
  • Pick up will take place on Friday mornings between 10am-12pm.
    • This will allow camp time to sanitize and properly clean before the new group arrives

Additional Details

  • Maximum of 70 campers per week
  • No specialty camp such as fishing, Loco art, Wanglers, and theater
  • Full "ranch camp" will only happen week 5 (9) but horses activities will be a part of every week of camp with no extra charge for trail rides like in the past 
  • “Stay overs” in between weeks will not be permitted
  • Transportation to camp is not available this year
  • We will only be using the “winter cabins” that have bathroom and shower facilities in them.
  • There will only be 7 kids to a cabin to allow for social distancing 
  • Meals will be served at the cabins and will be individually portioned so people are not touching or serving each other food.

These are some but not all of the important changes we are making to ensure your camper and our staff stay safe and healthy. We recognize this crisis is affecting people in different ways and you may have already made the choice that you are not comfortable having your child at camp. Therefore, we have several different options for families that have already paid their fees:

  • Donate all paid fees (supporting camp now helps us the most to make sure we’re ready to open in the future!)
  • Donate a portion of paid fees, receive refund or 2021 credit for the rest
  • Carryover all fees to 2021. General registration for 2021 will open in September. 
  • Full refund

If you need to cancel for summer 2020, we ask that you fill out the cancellation form by June 30th to indicate your preference.  This form will also provide a deeper explanation of the options listed above.  

Due to these changes, we are going to have to have a new system for registration and will be reaching out to families to help make this process as easy as possible. If you would like to move your child to week 9 to have full ranch camp reach out the Heather Graham.
